Keele University

An example of delivering in-house training for a client was a course for senior staff at Keele University. Here, Simon George and Alison Hope ran a full day of fundraising training, linked to the University's development plans.

keele.gifCommissioned by the External Relations department, the day involved the University's Strategic Fundraising Group focusing on its key opportunities, including alumni fundraising, trusts, companies, statutory and lottery grants and legacies. As well as providing an overview of funding options, the day sought to match these to the University's main funding needs, along with training in major gift solicitation.

The training was attended, among others, by the Vice Chancellor, the Registrar, the Deputy Vice Chancellor and the deputy Pro Chancellor.

After the event, Head of External Relations Ros Gallagher commented:

"The programme for the day provided an excellent balance between appropriate information and hands on experience. It allowed a wide range of people involved in fundraising to participate in the training. Simon and Alison provided a good focus on fundraising within the HE sector".

More recently, we have helped Keele with a major funding bid for the redevelopment of its historic observatory.
